When the Yepzon Freedom GPS tracker is ready for use, the user controls the device using the Yepzon app from their mobile. The user can see the location of the device and track it accurately. From the Settings menu of the Yepzon app, the user can specify how often the device needs to be connected to the server. The shorter the connection frequency, the quicker the location information is received.


The Yepzon mobile app is the main controller of the GPS tracker. Using the app, you can add and pair the tracker. Also, you can check the location of the device through a GPS map. When an SOS alert is made, it will be notified by the Yepzon mobile app. Next, your device's location will be sent to the app and so you can track the person immediately using the GPS location.


  • On your iPhone, touch the App Store icon on the home screen to open the App Store app.
  • Search for the Yepzon app.
  • Select it from the search results and then tap the Get button next to the app.
  • Wait until the download is completed.
  • Launch the app and complete the installation.

  • Before starting, charge the tracker for at least 2 hours.
  • Next, download and install the Yepzon app on your smartphone.
  • Launch the app and tap Add a Yepzon.
  • On the welcome screen, select Yepzon Freedom.
  • When the app requests a QR code, scan it from the left side of your Yepzon package (box).
  • Select Connect Yepzon and wait until the device is paired with your smartphone.

Downloading the Yepzon app:

  • On your smartphone, launch Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Search for the Yepzon app and select it in the search results.
  • Tap Get or Install to download and save the app to your smartphone.

Pairing the app with Yepzon GPS tracker:

  • Ensure that you have properly downloaded the Yepzon app on your smartphone.
  • Plug the GPS device into a charger.
  • Launch the Yepzon app on your smartphone and scan the QR code available on the device box.

Adding your profile:

  • Input a name for the Yepzon Freedom device in the Yepzon mobile app after completing the pairing process. This will distinguish your tracker from other Yepzon devices.
  • If necessary, add a picture of the device.

Creating Access Backup:

  • You will get a request from your phone informing you that the Yepzon app will create a Yepzon reset link.
  • Enter the mail id to send a reset link.

You can set your Yepzon Freedom GPS tracker to send notifications for specific situations. To edit the event notifications, follow these steps.

  • Open the Yepzon app on your smartphone.
  • Select your Yepzon device and tap Settings.
  • Tap Edit Notifications and select the checkboxes for the events you wish to get notified.


The Yepzon GPS tracker has a built-in SOS button for emergency cases. Simply press the SOS button three times when you are in an emergency and the GPS tracker immediately alerts the Yepzon app. When you send the SOS alert, the light on the GPS tracker will become red. Once the app receives the notification, the location of the alerting Yepzon tracker will be sent to the app within five minutes. You can cancel the SOS alert by pressing the SOS button thrice.


The Yepzon Freedom GPS tracker has three modes:

  • Quick Location Mode – used for active tracking.
  • Battery Saving Mode – used to prolong the battery life and occasionally check the tracker's location.
  • SOS Only Mode – used when there is no need for active tracking and attention to battery life.

Yepzon Freedom Tracker Led Signals

  • The LED signal on the tracker glows in three colors: red, green, and blue.
  • The continuous red light on the tracker indicates that an SOS alert has been sent.
  • The red light with few blinks indicates that the SOS alert has failed or the device is not paired.
  • The tracker signals continuous green light when the SOS alert is acknowledged in the app by the user.
  • The green signal with a single blink every 10 seconds on the tracker indicates that the device is in normal operation or moving mode.
  • The blue signal indicates that the device is charging.

Resetting the Yepzon Freedom GPS tracker to factory defaults will revert all the settings and will also remove the pairing to your phone. To reset your GPS tracker, create a reset link using the Yepzon app. Once you select the reset link, you will be prompted to enter your email address. The reset link will be emailed to your Inbox. Use the link sent to your email from the Yepzon app to restore your tracker settings to factory defaults.

The tracker doesn't have an off switch, but you can turn it off using the Yepzon app. Once the device has been turned off, you can turn it on by putting it on the charger or pressing and holding the SOS button for 3 seconds.
